Best place we stayed Review by WW

We found the Montana Hill Guest Ranch after staying in a very disappointing hotel in Jasper. The extra drive was completely worth it. We stayed for 4 nights in one the gorgeous cabins and we couldn't have asked for more while we were there. All the cabins have a cosy log burner and their own private hot tub which was lovely considering we got a bit of snow while we were there. There was a huge collection of DVDs to take back to the cabins as well as a pool table and dart board for a bit of evening entertainment. Each night we had the most delicious meals cooked by Al and Elaine and to top it off the best cakes I have had in a long time. My husband is still raving about the steak. Thank you so much to both of you for a lovely trip. (via Trip Advisor) (Posted on 03/12/2018)

Thanks once again Elaine and Al for such a lovely and relaxing stay. We needed a weekend away to unwind and relax. The one bedroom cabins are very cozy and comfortable and nicely decorated. Each cabin comes complete with a hot tub on the deck. We spent a great amount of time in our hot tub. Small kitchenette allows you to cook your own meals or you can dine with Elaine and Al at the main house for a scrumptious and generous dinner. Breakfast was included. You can engage as much or as little as you like with the hosts or the ranch itself. The animals were amazing. Would love to come back in the winter as well. (via Trip Advisor) (Posted on 03/12/2018)

This place is a little gem that is positioned half way between Vancouver and Jasper. My girlfriend and I like a lot of Brits were doing the Alberta/BC road trip and wanted somewhere between the camping and hotels that was a bit different!
Montana Hill is the answer!! Elaine cheerily came to greet us on arrival and showed us to the awesome cabins complete with perfectly kept hot tubs on the terrace.
Once we settled in we wandered up to the main farm house. I'm met by Alan....who immediately sorts me a beer and shows me around. Both Alan ans Elaine are welcoming, interesting and chatty folk!
The views from the farm are incredible. In two days we got a quick refresher lesson and horse ride, an ATV tour to twin lakes, taught how to milk a cow and ate like kings with the steak dinner being a holiday culinary highlight! Alan knows his BBQ and Elaine is a pro I'm the kitchen sort fresh bread and cake both days.
Seriously nothing is too much bother for these wonderful hosts. This place is unique and totally worth a visit. I bought one of their baseball caps so I can tell people of the experience when they ask where I got it!
Thanks and hope to visit again (Posted on 06/08/2018)

Wow, did we enjoy ourselves here! The cabins are absolutely perfect and nicely updated, the hot tub overlooking the field of horses was picturesque and we made use of the BBQ on the deck as well. Their horses were incredible and Al's patience in getting us comfortable with our rides was appreciated. The trails on their 200 acres was incredible with their cows and new bull even comfortable with us and the horses! The views were spectacular!! Al and Elaine are incredible hosts always making sure we had all we needed. We will definitely go again!! (Posted on 15/12/2017)

My friends and I have just returned from the most relaxing, enjoyable 4 day getaway! Al and Elaine are the perfect hosts, it was kind of like spending time with family. The cabin was well appointed and comfortable. You can easily cook for yourself or join Al and Elaine for dinner (Elaine is a fantastic cook I might add). Pictures on their website are exactly what you see when you get there. Their horses are suitable for experienced riders or beginners and Al makes sure that you are comfortable with your mount before you head out on the trails. I was thrilled with our ride to the Twin Lakes! The other thing is that you can take your own horse if you wish.
I would highly recommend Montana Hill Guest Ranch! (Posted on 15/12/2017)

We just got back from a wonderful girls weekend. The horses were super friendly and easy to be around. They were prepared for our kids who had little experience with horses. Oh almost forgot...thanks for the delicious breakfast Elaine!! (Posted on 14/06/2017)

My family had an awesome time! The horseback ride was husband and my oldest son's favorite part of the vacation. We loved seeing all the horses right from our hot tub in the deck. Lovely cabins, gorgeous views, great people, hot tub, relaxation..... You can't go wrong! Thank-you Alan and Elaine! (Posted on 14/06/2017)
