African Horseback Safaris
Explore the breathtaking Okavango Delta on horseback on this challenging, fast riding safari. Follow game through, what is considered to be one of Africa's most prolific wildlife areas. Riders may view giraffe, elephant, buffalo, antelope and possibly lion, as they venture through the palm islands and grassy flood plains of this region. Long days in the saddle are followed by sociable evenings in luxury bush camps. Accommodation is in classic, spacious tented camps, with en suite shower facilities.

Overall Holiday Experience Horses and tack Accommodation and food
The riding included quite long and fast canters at times, quite "tough" riding as we are not used to jiggling and squiggling in canter through undergrowth/uneven ground with logs/obstacles etc. Riding in the water was amazing. I have never experienced anything like this. Sometimes I was nearly swimming when I had a small horse. Long canters in quite deep water so the horse almost had to jump in and out. Wading through deep water, water in over my boots, water weed stuck in my shoes, wet pants! Like nothing else I have done before. Amazing. Got soaked each day from head to foot. Splashing and giggling, sometimes hard to stay on slippy/bouncy, so quite hard work to ride but soooo much fun. Tiring! Advice would be chaps and short rubber boots with no lining (my linings disintegrated completely). Boots don't dry overnight so you definitely need 2 pairs. Old ones you can trash would be best :-)
I will treasure the memories of this trip forever. We saw so much game too!
Everything was amazing. We had the "old" honeymoon tent. Other than the loo not having a door/curtain across which would have been nicer, but we got used to it! If you stayed in the left side of the room you could not see the other person on the loo (!)
Bed so comfortable, we had our own private decked area at the front with chairs, lovely and private, amazing free standing bath big enough to fit us both in. You need proper shoes as sandy tracks and dark paths make sandals less suitable and its a bit of a walk to the furthest tents. Hot water bottles in the bed at night waiting for you was a wonderful touch. We had an elephant right by our tent eating trees one day, and a giraffe and a buffalo came right up to our decking to visit!
Amazing shower too. Laundry service great. Food basic and simple types but sooo tasty. Could fault nothing on this trip.

Overall Holiday Experience Horses and tack Accommodation and food
The luxury tent was well appointed, quiet and secluded, with glorious views across the Delta. It was kept spotlessly clean. The beds were extremely comfortable. The food was varied and excellent, with everything home made from fresh ingredients. (Posted on 13/07/2017)
