Riding Holidays | Brunei
Located on the North coast of the island of Borneo in South-East Asia, Brunei is one of the smallest countries in the world. The economy is booming and you’ll find a mesmerising balance of vibrant modernity and wealth with natural, unspoilt beauty. The climate is warm or hot all year round, but it is best to avoid September to January, where there is usually heavy scattered rainfall. English is widely spoken across Brunei, due to its importance in the thriving oil business, but the official language is Bahasa Melayu (Malay).
Trijaya Jerudong Equestrian Park, the only centre of its kind in Brunei, takes pride in the quality of its horses, staff and facilities, and offers fantastic trail rides for all riding abilities – explore the local wildlife in areas of thick jungle and experience the ultimate bliss of riding along picturesque sandy beaches. It is also home to a Polo and Golf Club, which the Sultan of Brunei regularly attends.
The diverse landscape of Brunei includes the Ulu Temburong National Park – a primary rainforest home to a whole wealth of rare and fascinating flora and fauna. Known as the ‘hidden gem’ of Asia, tourism in Brunei is growing and more and more people are visiting its undiscovered beaches and interesting rainforests, and enjoying the colourful spirit of the country.
