Ohio is one of the Great Lakes States, next to Michigan, Indiana, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. It also borders Canada across Lake Erie. Ohio has a landscape of mainly lowland grassy plains, although there are some pretty forest areas and quiet river valleys. This makes excellent riding country and there are several Ohio ranch vacations available to visit. Have a horse riding holiday in Ohio at an authentic working ranch in the hills south of Columbus. After a weeks horse riding, Ohio has lots of interesting attractions to visit. There are over 100 vineyards, many of which offer wine tours and tasting sessions. Ohio is also home to the largest Amish community in the USA. Travel to ‘The Wilds’, near Cumberland to for a unique safari experience at this amazing conservation project. Have a vehicle safari through the reserve to see wild African game, such as rhino, giraffe, zebra and antelope, cheetah and wild dog.
