The Republic of Angola is in Southern Africa and borders Namibia, Botswana, Zambia and the D. R. Congo. Angola is a Portuguese speaking county and has one of the fastest growing economies in the world.

Angola has recently opened up as a travel destination and has much to offer visitors. The capital Luanda is very interesting. However travellers exploring further afield are advised of the need to be careful and join organised tours. Places to see: The Atlantic beaches, several national parks, Lubango for the mountains, amazing scenery and waterfalls. Also the Miradouro da Lua, a stunning canyon similar to the Fish River Canyon in Namibia. Dry season is between May and October and the hot rainy season between November and April.
