Dorset is a maritime county in the South-West of England. It is largely rural with a long sweeping coastline and quiet countryside.

On horseback there is a large network of trails and bridleways to trot along and miles upon miles of deserted countryside to enjoy on a long hack. Additionally, riders can go wild whilst experiencing beach riding in Dorset, galloping along the fantastic beaches and admiring the dramatic surrounding cliff faces of the “Jurassic Coast”.

Dorset has many equestrian stables and centres offering horse riding holidays to riders of all abilities. Neighbouring counties Wiltshire and Somerset also have an extensive number of centres.
