Riding Holidays | Leicestershire - England
The landlocked county of Leicestershire, the traditional home of fox hunting, is situated in the East Midlands, England.
The Leicestershire landscape is very green, consisting of open hilly countryside, numerous county parks and areas of woodland. There are a variety of off-road bridle paths suitable for long or short hacks, and the notable Leicestershire Round – a 100-mile circular trail around the county, winding through the rolling hills and meandering amongst pretty villages and market towns. Additionally, the National Forest offers 200 square miles of interesting woodland to be discovered on horseback.
Equestrian centres such as Waterloo Lodge Farm provide pleasant and scenic horse riding holidays in the peaceful Leicestershire countryside. For more horse riding in the surrounding area, see Derbyshire.
