The Orkney Islands form an archipelago off the North coast of Scotland.

There are approximately 70 islands boasting an extensive coastline of high rocky cliffs alongside serene sandy beaches, great for an exhilarating gallop and maybe even a quick dip in the clear, sparkling waters. The gentle landscape of the islands is totally unspoilt and almost completely deserted, so if you’re looking for uninterrupted tranquil riding, Orkney is the place for you!

The outstanding seascapes and beautiful heather moorlands of the Orkney Islands are certainly worth seeing on horseback. We are currently unaware of any equine holiday centres on the Islands, but can recommend many in nearby Highland.
