Guinea is a west African country bordering Sierra Leone, Liberia and Senegal. It has a hot tropical climate, not really suited to keeping horses and there are few horses in Guinea. Guinea has a diverse and interesting landscape varying from mountains in the centre to a high plateau region in the west and forest in the south east. The Guinea mountains are the source of several large water courses including the Niger and Gambia rivers. Guinea is a country of long standing traditions and lively culture. Music and dancing are very popular. The country’s official language is French.
