Côte d’Ivoire is in west Africa between Ghana, Burkina Faso, Guinea and Liberia. It has a diverse culture and picturesque scenery from Atlantic coastal beaches, to extensive rainforest and savannah, with abundant African wildlife. Horses however are not common and only a few are to be found. There are no horse riding holidays in Côte d’Ivoire.

Côte d’Ivoire is a French speaking ex-colonial country and is now an independent republic with agriculture as the main industry. The country has undergone much upheaval in recent years and some areas are still rather unsettled, so travellers are advised of the need to be careful. The climate varies dramatically depending on the region.
