General
Description:
his is riding among the mountains of Andalucia, the high ones often snow covered
year round. It is led by Rafael B who has been leading riding in the mountains
for many moons and is seemingly one of the last Spanish horseman operating in
Southern Spain. You will be riding the ancient agricultural paths of Roman and
Moorish times as well as a rural Spain less modernized then much of what goes on
in the nearby coasts. Most of our trips are of 8 days, only the Mulhacen still
requires some nights camping. Transfer issues have been radically simplified.
See Getting There section below. The owner and guide of Cabalgar Rutas
Alternativas, Rafael Belmonte, is a political science graduate who preferred the
peace of a small village in the mountains to the hustle and bustle of his home
city, Madrid. He moved to the Alpujarras more than twenty years ago, where he
started his horse-riding adventure. An entertaining and charming man who is
fluent in Spanish, French and English, he will ensure you enjoy a wonderful
riding holiday.. |
