It is led by Rafael B who has been leading riding in the mountains for many moons and is seemingly one of the last Spanish horseman operating in Southern Spain. Most of our trips are of 8 days, only the Mulhacen still requires some nights camping. Transfer issues have been radically simplified. See Getting There section below. The owner and guide of Cabalgar Rutas Alternativas, Rafael Belmonte, is a political science graduate who preferred the peace of a small village in the mountains to the hustle and bustle of his home city, Madrid. He moved to the Alpujarras more than twenty years ago, where he started his horse-riding adventure. An entertaining and charming man who is fluent in Spanish, French and English, he will ensure you enjoy a wonderful riding holiday..
